Laboratory
exercises each cycle reinforce the current classroom topic.
A
written lab report according to department guidelines is due each cycle.

Every major topic discussed will conclude with a

Student who are absent for a unit exam must make an appointment with
the subject teacher for a make up examination.
All make up exams must be completed by the end
of the cycle following absence. A parent teacher conference will be
requested for students who miss two regularly scheduled unit exams.
A
cumulative Midterm examination will be given in January and a
cumulative Final examination will be given in June. All
students will be required to take the New York State Regents Examination in
Living Environment.

The
final grade in the course will be an average of Trimester I, II, III, and the

Work
outside of the class is an integral part of the course. Homework assignments are
provided on the bottom of each study guide. Each student is responsible for
completing homework assignments. The teacher will specify if it is to be done
on loose leaf or in their notebook. Written assignments are to follow the
general format: Name, date, objective, and assignment.
