Bella is one of Fontbonne's best and brightest stars. Earlier this school year, she was named a Commended Student in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. She was presented a Letter of Commendation by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Throughout the country, about 34,000 students were named Commended Students. They all placed in the top 5% of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2017 competition. Bella is an active member of the National Honor Society and the Yearbook Committee. She is also the Athletic Chairperson for the Student Activities Council. In Bella's own words: "The community at Fontbonne is unlike any other, It has served as a catalyst for my intellectual, spiritual, and social growth. Fontbonne has offered me opportunities I wouldn't be able to find elsewhere, such as being able to complete novel cancer research under the guidance of professors at Columbia and NYU." The balance she has maintained between her coursework, athletics, service, and extracurricular activities has fostered her abilities to successfully manage her time and organize her priorities.
