College and AP Credit Programs

Students can earn college credit for courses from St. John's University, or by successful completion of an Advanced Placement Examination.  Below is the list of our college and AP course and credit offerings.

St. John's University Credit

Calculus: Fall & Spring (6 credits)
Pre-Calculus: Fall (3 credits)
Italian 4: Fall & Spring (6 credits)
Spanish 4: Fall & Spring (6 credits)
College Religion: Fall (3 credits)
College English (English 12H): Fall & Spring (6 credits)
 
Requirements: Minimum of 80% cumulative average in each of the five major subject areas:
  • English
  • World Language
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies
A minimum of 500 (verbal) and 500 (math) on the SAT. OR a minimum score of 23 on the ACT.
 
Grade 11
Calculus: Fall & Spring (6 credits)
Pre-Calculus: Fall (3 credits)
Italian 4: Fall & Spring (6 credits)
Spanish 4: Fall & Spring (6 credits)
 
Requirements: Minimum of 85% cumulative average in each of the five major subject areas:
  • English
  • World Language
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies
A minimum of 50 (verbal) and 50 (math) on the PSAT. OR a minimum score of 23 on the ACT.
 
The cost is $325 per course.
There is a 3 course maximum per semester.
Students who participate in CAP and matriculate at St. John’s University receive a $2,000 tuition grant for each of the four years of their undergraduate study.

 
Advanced Placement Courses and Testing
 
All students enrolled in an Advanced Placement course at Fontbonne Hall Academy are required to take the AP Examination in that subject.

The cost of the examination is $95.00 and is due at the time of registration.

All courses designated as “Advanced Placement” at Fontbonne Hall Academy have had their content approved and certified by the College Board.
