College Search Tools

When thinking about searching for colleges, it's important to figure out where to start.  Sometimes this means attending college fairs, researching schools that are close to home, exploring colleges while you're on a road trip, or universities that are home to your favorite football teams.  However you start, there are a few websites that are extremely helpful in narrowing down the search process, some of these include:

FHA uses Naviance to support all aspects of the college search process.  Students and Families use their accounts to discover their interests, research colleges, build a college list and monitor their submission and admissions status.  As a department, we submit all supporting documents through Naviance, including the School Profile, Counselor and Teacher Letters of Recommendations, Transcripts and Mid-Year Reports.

**Fair Test lists colleges and universities that are test optional or test flexible, always double check with admissions criteria when considering any of the schools on this list.

*These websites are also great scholarship search tools.

CTCL is dedicated to the advancement and support of a student-centered college search process.

Since 1998, CTCL has offered a national series of information sessions and college fairs for students, parents, and college counselors. Each session begins with an enlightening 30-minute presentation on today’s college search process, which is followed immediately by a college fair that lasts for approximately 1.5 hours.
