FHA announces the launching of its Early College program in collaboration with St. Joseph’s College (SJC). SJC@FHA offers a distinct college and career pathway in Child Study, enabling a student to earn up to thirty college credits toward the Child Study major with SJC leading to the BA degree in Child Study. A student who is considering a career in child study or speech pathology takes the requisite, core course in Child Study here on our campus and follows the career path in child study by taking those courses that are specifically required for the major. This course of study culminates with taking a SJC course, on the SJC campus, alongside college students taught by a college professor for a true college experience. Upon completion of each course (in addition to FHA credits), the student will receive the appropriate number of college credits as listed in the St.Joseph’s College Course Catalogue, which results in a time-efficient and cost-effective early college experience. “Child Study is a hallmark program of St. Joseph’s College, providing an outstanding education that is consistently ranked among the best teaching programs in the New York metropolitan area. The teacher education program is registered and fully accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)” For more information, you may contact Ms. Maryann DeLuca, Director of Early College Programs at firstname.lastname@example.org.
