STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: MARGARET MINOGUE
Margaret Minogue ('20) has spent her time at Fontbonne taking 10 AP classes and achieving honor roll status. After last year's AP exams, she received recognition as an AP Scholar with Distinction. Margaret is a member of SAC (Student Activities Council) as a CSJ Leader, Fontbonne's Speech Team and the Students for Soldiers club. This September, Margaret was recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar due to excellence on the PSAT/NMSQT.
Last May, Margaret completed the Urban Barcode Project and her group was invited to present at the New York Academy of Medicine. As a result of this presentation, she was recently accepted into the highly competitive Urban Barcode Research Program, where she and senior Tommasina Cardone ('20) will continue their research. This program entails 55 hours of extended research in professional laboratories alongside mentors from all over NYC including the American Museum of Natural History, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and New York City College of Technology.
Margaret plans to major in biomedical engineering and then attend law school to focus on engineering patent law.
