CORINE FITZGIBBONS

CLASS OF 2009

Deputy Integrated Product Team Lead at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division

After graduating from Fontbonne in 2009, Corine attended the Polytechnic Institute of NYU in downtown Brooklyn where she majored in mechanical engineering and minored in aerospace engineering. She managed her time between three varsity sports, a part-time job, and her course workload. The important skills of time management and leaning on a close community of friends, family, and classmates are skills developed at FHA and built character that helped Corine manage the chaos.

After graduating from NYU Poly Corine started her career at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) as an engineer for the V-22 aircraft platform and concurrently enrolled in the Drexel University graduate program on base, from which she received an MS in Mechanical Engineering. Since she began her tenure at NAVAIR she has held several positions, most recently as a program manager of the Advanced Arresting Gear onboard the Ford class aircraft carriers. Her organization affords her the opportunity to volunteer in her local community, specifically with their STEM outreach program.
