Last week, our students had the opportunity to explore their academic futures during the first of three mini college fairs taking place at Fontbonne this spring🎓📚 College admissions representatives met with students to answer their questions and provide information on a variety of topics, including application requirements, residential life, areas of study, campus activities and scholarships🏫 Thank you to the representatives from Hofstra University, Loyola University Maryland, Providence College, Quinnipiac University and the SUNY Welcome Center! 👏
On April 10th, our seniors enjoyed their class trip to Maimonides Park in Coney Island. They brought their trademark enthusiasm to cheer on the Brooklyn Cyclones🧢⚾️ Of course, their visit wouldn't have been complete without a stop at Nathan's for lunch before heading to the ballpark🌭🏟️
On April 14th, the Hellenic Committee of the Global Citizenship Club participated in the 85th Greek Independence Day Parade in Manhattan🇬🇷🎉 Thank you to these students for representing our school with our Fontbonne Forever banner 💙
18 students, along with Ms. DiCarlo, Mrs. Nicoll, and Mrs. O’Leary Proseus, had an incredible school trip to Spain and Portugal during Spring Break! ✈️🧳 They explored historic sites, enjoyed local cuisine, and had amazing experiences like visiting the Prado Museum and trying flamenco lessons. #SchoolTrip #Spain #Portugal
On April 10th, Dr. de Carvalho's Anatomy & Physiology classes welcomed Dr. Marie M. Moriarty as a guest speaker to teach our students the anatomy and physiology of the eye and talk about her profession of Optometry and related fields.
Dr. Moriarty is an alumna and currently a member of the FHA Board of Trustees. She has participated as a guest speaker over the years in Dr. de Carvalho's class. Our seniors learned the anatomy of the eye by dissecting the preserved eyes of cows, which are structurally very similar to our own eyes, along with how the eye functions and its varied conditions and diseases.
We would like to thank Dr. Marie Moriarty for her participation and enthusiasm in enriching our students lab experience and education with her expertise. 🥼👏
NEW DATE 🏀⭐️ Next week, our students and faculty will shoot some hoops to raise money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation!
Thank you to our Students for Soldiers club for organizing the event, and we hope to see you all there! ⛹️♀️
